Prepping for her performance in London, Ontario on Monday (October 24), Selena was seen with her new canine companion. Selena Gomez proudly toted her pooch pal Baylor. While in Winnipeg this past weekend Selena and Justin adopted the puppy from an animal rescue centre.

The teenage lovebirds visited D’arcy’s ARC in Winnepeg to pick up new pup Baylor. “They spent a lot of time with the puppies,” the rescue’s CEO, D’Arcy Johnston, told People.com. “I was told that (Gomez) was missing the dogs that she has at home.” But don’t assume that Selena and the Bieb got any special treatment while searching for their furry friend; Johnston said Selena had to go through the same screening process as everyone else.

Enjoying their time together in Winnipeg, Selena and Justin went out for a hockey date at the MTS Centre on Saturday night (October 22). Cuddled up in their box seats, they watched the hometown Jets beat the Carolina Hurricanes by a score of 5-3. After the game they took to the ice for a brief skating session of their own.

Selena, allegedly, is in talks to star in the comedy Hot Mess.

A judge in LA approved an order requiring Thomas Brodnicki to stay at least 100 yards (91m) away from her.

“I am in extreme fear of Mr Brodnicki, due to his direct threat on my life… as well as his history of stalking.”

The actress is best known for her role in Wizards of Waverly Place.

The teenager’s lawyer claimed Thomas Brodnicki had a history of mental illness and spoke about thoughts of killing her.

Mr Brodnicki was held for three days in a mental health centre last month after he was accused of threatening to harm people on the street by scratching their eyes out, according to court papers.

During that confinement he told a doctor he had travelled from Chicago to Los Angeles with the intention of meeting Selena Gomez and that he thought about harming or killing her, according to the court statement.

The statement also claimed Thomas Brodnicki had a history of mental illness.

The temporary restraining order against could be extended for three years at a hearing due to take place on 4 November.

Thursday morning Selena paid a visit to a local IHOP restaurant in Studio City (September 29). Selena was joined by a friend as she headed into the resturant.

In a recent interview, Selena gave her female fans some advice about being themselves.

“The only thing I ever tell my fans is it’s just not worth it to be someone you’re not. I’ve conformed to a lot of guys that I liked before; it’s very easy to want to be what they want you to be. But in the end, it just wasn’t enjoyable and I was miserable half the time. Now, I’m very straightforward.”

Selena will be judging the Make Your Mark competition this weekend alongside Sean Kingston and Rosero McCoy.
