Selena slowly breaks away from Disney

She’s having a fabulous year career-wise, and Selena Gomez is poised for even more success in 2012 with her new project “Spring Breakers.”

According to an insider, the former Disney darling will be going a little more grown-up and ditching her wholesome image this time around.

“Spring Breakers” is about four college girls who land in jail after robbing a restaurant to fund their spring break vacation. They’re bailed out by a drug and arms dealer who wants them to do some dirty work.

In the, upcoming comedy, film Selena would costar with James Franco, Emma Roberts, and fellow Disney alum Vanessa Hudgens.
